"Mommy's here!"Mother finds Nick (or is it Ted?)Mother shakes sense into Ted

Comedy. An overbearing mother believes she's found her long lost son Ed in the hospital. Or is it her other son Ted? Or is it just some dummy in pajamas? She tries to figure it out while a frantic Ted scrambles to avoid her.

My answer to the question: what if Jaws had been somebody's mother? It originated as an award-winning 10-minute stage play featuring only two characters -- Ted and Mother -- along with an offstage Nurse and a second patient played by a dummy. The adaptation to the more visually literal medium of film brought to life the Nurse, Nick the innocent victim, and with them Ted's many unresolved mother-figure issues.

The film also proves the dictum that there is no problem that cannot be solved with slapstick.

Man, news is boring. Unless it's performed by a show choir.

Our host explains why we should be cautious.

A PSA urging people not to drink water. Sponsored by the Canadian Champagne Association.

Starring the excellent Fred Cross!

This PSA parody about "killer water" was a hell of a lot funnier before the tsumani disaster and Hurricane Katrina. Ha ha! Killer water! What a funny concept; almost as funny as rotting at the Superdome for 5 days while your government sits with its thumb in its ass!

Uh, anyway. Think of this piece as pre-tsunami, etc. We did it in early 2004, I swear.
